10th State of the Bay Symposium in Galveston, Texas

1/13 –1/14/16: DESCO’s Senior Biologist, Arthur Perkins attended the State of the Bay Symposium at Moody Gardens in Galveston, Texas. The Galveston Bay Estuary Program (GBEP) coordinates the symposium to provide participants the opportunity to connect and interact, share latest research findings, and to illuminate the challenges facing Galveston Bay. The program’s objective is to discuss ways to preserve our bay using methods like watershed-based, water-quality-improvement efforts and habitat and water conservation. GBEP efforts play a huge role in preserving the health and integrity of the Galveston Bay.
