IPEC 2014

10/14 - 10/16/14: The 2014 International Petroleum and Environmental Conference (IPEC) in Houston was attended by industry representatives, regulatory agency personnel, consultants, engineers and students.  Staff members representing DESCO Environmental Consultants set up their booth next to the booth of Eureka Water Probes.  There were approximately 20 other booths at the conference, showcasing products and services such as soil and water testing equipment, remediation consultancies, directional drilling and chemical products.  The intimate size of this event allowed attendees to spend more time at each of the booths to see what was on offer. DESCO stood out as the only natural/cultural resources firm with a booth. DESCO representatives were able to speak with many representatives of the oil and gas industry who were looking for more information about NEPA compliance and other regulatory concerns.  In addition to interest the O&G sector, the remediation consultants at the event were interested in the idea of partnering with a natural resources company to offer a full suite of services to our respective clients.
